According to Tourism Secretary Balala, who unveiled the multibillion projects by Eldoret Town known as Sergoit Golf and Wildlife Resort worth $40 billion will open the tourism industry in the western part of the country. This will be Eldoret’s largest single investment by a private sector in Western Kenya.

The company behind these multibillion projects, Sergoit Holdings Limited, says this will be completed by 2016.  The project will have four phases wherein each phase has a total budget of $10 billion. Phase I is expected to be finished in a year’s time according to Sergoit Holdings Chairman Joshua Chelkwony.

As per reports, Sergoit Golf and Wildlife Resort involves the construction of 2,000 villas, a five-star hotel, three golf courses, a hospital, a shopping mall, schools, conference center and its own private airfield located in a 3,100 acre of land.

Moreover, this tremendous real estate development will set to establish self-regulating business but with a shared ownership with the residents to control the infrastructure of a foreseen golf resort city.

In addition to that, this golf town will be set up with other entertaining fitness activities such as, fitness training, athletic training and rock climbing. Combined with this exciting plan scheme will be a scenic nature, a view of game and scenery, and a water splash.

Indeed, such a big development will boost its tourism industry for the golf resort embodies an interactive experience for the tourists. This feature of the golf city is what the world wide tourists would like to enjoy since according to Tourism minister Najib Bahala, this kind of tourism that people will surely enjoy through such interaction has become the most recent inclination of the tourists in particular among the youth and middle class from around the world
